Advice for adding Warpaint to a models face?

After hours of putting models together and seeing that I couldn't make each unit as unique as I wanted (I find the arms aren't as mobile as standard marine arms there wasn't as many variations of possitions I could put them in)

Its too bad that the legs weren't more like Bezerker legs (With the break on some legs so you can give nice running motions)

Anyway I thought one way I could differ my wolves is guys who have no helmets could have various types of warpaint (Stripes over the eyes, or across the face, or 1/2 the face etc) and i could vary the colors pack to pack / unit to unit (Red face paint for grey hunters, no face paint for long fangs etc)

But I'm not sure if it is as easy as just painting a red stripe overtop of the skin, or if I should use more watered down paint so the skin color bleeds through etc.

In the end I may only use this to show my mark of the wolven(or whatever its called codex isn't by me, and I'm just a whelp when it comes to SW)

Oh, speaking of which, I got just the thing for this one!

Found this online while I was looking for inspiration. Don't know who this guy is, but he paints really well. Wonder if he's on this board?

Anyways, here ya go:

Found this online, great stuff. A lil advanced tho, but do-able, I'm sure.
