I use old cans of purity seal (the really shiny stuff), the next day I use dullcote satin to make them matt again. miniaturepainter Posted March 7, 2013 Share Posted March 7, 2013 Yeah it reminds me of an old can of krylon satin I used to use back in the day before I got all airbrushy lol. After using my new ones for a year now I'm still trying to perfect airbrushing clear coats without having problems. I went from using an old Aztec / model masters side feed (for about 20 years I used this) to a new badger Patriot 105 and krome. They are wonderful toys, and I've got them down, except clear coating. The best results I've had is dialing down to about 10-15 psi and spray at least 6 inches from the model. Smooth, but not as smooth as an old rattle can would used to do.
