GK as 2nd FOC

I must admit, I just got my 6e book and am trying to absorb it. From what I've read here on the B&C and a bit of the big book, I have a question.

if SMs are my primary, and I take Draigo as my secondary HQ, do paladins count as troops? I assume yes, but one thing I've learned about GW rules, is that common sense isn't always correct...

Yes, unless a faq will come out stating differently, you can.

Modifies in the composition of the list are always done to the whole army, that is composed by detachments, so all detachments in the army get the change.

For example, if you play at 2000 with 2 foc, Draigo will modify both primary detachments allowing paladins as troops in both.

.... so if a tree falls in the forest and hits you in the head... did it kill you?

but on topic...

if SM are your prime and you take Lysander as your HQ w/ bolter drill, and being an IC

then you take GK and draigo as your 2nd and a 10 man Paladin squad with storm BOLTERS with psybolts (+1s)

does the SC rule transfer from prime to secondary units if attached? ? ?
