Let me know what you guys think of this:

 

Rune Priest w/ Chooser and Master of Runes (mastery level 2) - Living Lightening and Prescience

WG w/ no additional weapons

Long Fangs w/ 3 ML and 2 LC

 

I can split fire with Living lightening, 1 ML, and 1 LC at one target; and then 2 ML, and 1 LC at another.

 

Mastery level 2 means I can use Prescience to allow the LF's to reroll misses, effectively making their weapons twin linked.

 

Should help crack open some transports for my wolves to feed upon. Thoughts?

Unfortunately we can't mix codex and rule book powers so you need to choose living lightning or prescience.

OR have two rune priests - one with Codex powers (I'd choose LL and Jaws if he's with LFs) and one with BRB powers - probs either divination or biomancy :)

 

 

I actually prefer taking divination spells with my LF's RP in TDA for prescience. I'm currently running 2 LF squads with 3xML and 2XLas cannon with a WG in TDA with a CCML in one of them. The reason I prefer this is since SW don't have any real anti air atm, being able to reroll those shots is huge for dealing with air units I'd say this would combo well with a RP in PA riding in a rhino using LL and what ever else you want. My load outs are:

 

(Forwarning, misfortune, or perfect timing) + prescience

Prescience + (enfeeble or endurance) - warp speed may be worth taking if you roll it

Prescience + Smite (worst option imo)

I have two rune priests that I like to run.

 

Ordin Wyrmbreaker, 1 in Terminator armor escorted by 4 TDA wolfguard with combi-plasma. I take the default divination power and roll on biomancy, hoping to get a melee buffer. They drop down in a pod. Get that runic staff nice and close, rapid fire tons of plasma shots and re-roll misses.

 

Thorgrim Wyrmbreaker, 1 in power armor, lightning lightning and jaws. Usually attach him to Longfangs, sometimes more aggressive and foot slog him with some bloodclaws.

Thanks for the advice all. I'm going to try Master of Runes with Prescience and [hopefully] Perfect Timing. I get two chances to roll for Perfect Timing. Going to attach him to a pack of LF's with ML and 4 x LC along with a WG to soak up wounds. Against transports that's a potential game changer because I can get the troops inside on turn 2 with my Thunderwolves.
Prescience won't allow you to reroll blast weapons because they don't roll "to hit" per the description in the special rules section.

Yup, that is definitely NOT correct.

If a model has the ability to re-roll its rolls To Hit and chooses to do so after firing a Blast weapon, the palyer must re-roll both the scatter dice and the 2D6.

 

So Prescience does help Blast weapons, you can re-roll the "whole result" - scatter die and the 2D6 dice.

I think when I went to corroborate the rule, i must have stopped reading have "models do not roll to hit" which was slightly moronic on my part since there's a whole bolded section under blast weapons about rerolling them. Thiis just makes me happy though since I want rerolls on my frag missiles.

You mean frag missiles. :D

I love the Divination table. I really do. There are a lot of powers on that table that are just so strong in a variety of situations. The downside however is the random generation. You really want to be taking more than one RP though really, psykers are very strong this edition. My current list doesnt have any but thats more based towards the way the list works. Theres no overally best way, its whatever works best with your current list comp.
