War Angel
about two or three days ago, i was painting. i needed a better recipe for gold, so i came here and searched for one. the one i came accross was awesome, but i didnt write it down. hold for suspense now i cant find it. ive looked up and down the tutorials, and now im thinking it never exsisted. i cant remember it exactly, but i seem to recal it going something like this. base coat black, Cover with tin bits. go over this with a 1:1 tin bits shining gold. then i think its shining gold. and finaly a light highlighting of shining gold mixed with metalic silver. i dont think thats it verbatem, but its something like that. im just shocked i cant find it again, it had seemed so easy to find the first time. winterdyne
Very similar to the recipe I use, however the following paints are far more convenient: VMC Black. VMC Bronze (replaces tin bitz), Heavy brown wash, relayer with Bronze, VMC Old Gold (replaces shining gold), VMA (Vallejo Model Air) Gold (replaces the gold/silver mix). The old gold gives a more yellow gold. If you want a brass look, replace the old gold in the progression with a mix of Bronze and VMA Gold. You can skip the wash by basing with a mix of brown, black and bronze.
