apatheticzealot
I posted an unpainted army a while ago and I just thought I'd post this update to show some progress, so far the army is performing well enough at 2-3(Still figuring out how to play them to their max potential). my super talented buddy did the lion's share of the painting with some assistance from me(i'm still learning how to paint.) Any input is appreciated. the crusade prepared for inspection. http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t438/apatheticzealot/blacktemplars1.jpg their fearless leader the Reclusiarch. http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t438/apatheticzealot/blacktemplars2.jpg the emperor's champion http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t438/apatheticzealot/blacktemplars3.jpg the master of sanctity, he's one badass dude http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t438/apatheticzealot/blacktemplars4.jpg the crusade's one land raider crusader http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t438/apatheticzealot/blacktemplars5.jpg the predator, he's magnetized so I can configure him however i desire. he's been performing amazingly, fearlessly taking down a host of enemy armor and elites. http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t438/apatheticzealot/blacktemplars6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259539-the-archaeon-crusade/ Share on other sites
Marshal Hadrarius
Very nice looking army there brother! my advice? practice painting the Black Templars cross and get those shoulder pads detailed will really make your already nice army really stand out! Over time the cross isn't so hard to do either! Also when your doing script like on grimaldus and banner bearer ever now and then just make a gap in the wriggly line at random points to help with the realism, otherwise looking good! apatheticzealot
the crosses are something I definitely want to do, but I don't think I could get them right with a brush. I was thinking of using one of those felt tipped paint pens from an arts&craft store. Have you used/had any luck with them? chaplaincliff
i just found the prismacolor premier brush tip pen, it is a felt tip pen that reacts sort of like a brush with a touch of give, they are fantastic and could almost paint en entire model, in fact when i can get a while bunch more i will attempt to paint an entire, very colorful marine from some chapter that I am not sure about yet to test this. the links are here: prismacolor premier web site where to buy the black I get mine at my local michaels though. edited for spelling mistakes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259539-the-archaeon-crusade/#findComment-3158061 Share on other sites

Brother Joseph
Love the pseudo custodes color scheme with the dark red and gold. I think they look awesome although I agree about getting some BT iconography on em somewhere. Also if you do get some of those pens let me know how the work out for you Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259539-the-archaeon-crusade/#findComment-3159701 Share on other sites
