MadGreek
OK, Redoing my TH/SS Term Squad. Saw a post earlier with a Sang Guard torso added to the Term Body. Liked the look, especially since my Chapter is Greek themed, but didn't want to cut up a set of Sang Guard bodies to do it. So, broke out the Rapid Mold sticks. Here is what I have to start with. http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t371/MDemetris/IMAG03801.jpg and http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t371/MDemetris/IMAG0378.jpg Will need a little more greenstuff to fill the joins. Ill post pics as I progress, slow as it may be. Oh, and instead of Thunder Hammers, they will have these as counts as - http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t371/MDemetris/IMAG0383.jpg Yes, I know the new edition HAS Power Spears, but since Termies can't take them, I figure the confusion will be limited. Jorre
I look forward to seeing the progress! Nice work on the mold to! Might be worth while in trying that myself rather than just buying sang guard kits! My own project has been quite expensive Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259542-new-project/#findComment-3157575 Share on other sites
MadGreek
I had NEVER made any kind of mold before I got the Rapid Mold Sticks. I've made 4 since, including a 2 part mold, with decent success. I'd definitely recommend giving them a shot. Ushtarador
You just convinced me to order some mold and try this myself, cause I decided to model my termies the same way, and not having to cut up a pack of SG would certainly be nice ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259542-new-project/#findComment-3158043 Share on other sites
Killax
Nice stuff! I have the same plans for my army (albeit I don't have the intention in running Termies now). Nontheless, I would like to share this with you, might save you some extra time on sculpting: http://sciborminiatures.com/i/conversion_parts_2011/big/spartan_sf_body_5_01.jpg Imho it isn't the best, but is a base you can add small pieces on rather than do a "large" re-sculpt. Cheers, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259542-new-project/#findComment-3158612 Share on other sites
MadGreek
I have some of the Spartan Torsos from Scibor, and they are just about the right size for termies, but they have a flat base, requiring removal of the "bumb" on top of the termie legs. As for the whole body pictured - maybe, just low on my "Buy" list right now. MadGreek
Quick update. Front plate added to body, and Helmet added. Looks more awkward in the picture then it does in person. http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t371/MDemetris/IMAG0390.jpg Some bits to be added. Shoulder pads, pteruges, and spear. I cut one spear up to add brass rod in the final fig. http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t371/MDemetris/IMAG0392.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259542-new-project/#findComment-3158887 Share on other sites
