im pretty dead set with this color scheme. it might look off in the pics but as you know, its almost always better in person.

i am no-where near counting points but ive got the 1st - 4th companies (all with command squads) pretty much fully modelled. only need to finish some 1st company vets, accessories on various guys from all 4 companies(grenades, combat knives, extra useless stuff), and some leaders. the only piece that is really lacking is my motor pool. i probably have enough vics for 1.. maybe 2 companies.

im slowly aquiring more "ancient" bits (blood angel maximus and dark angel crusade helmets are my focus right now), ive got quite a few models from the 90's including this lovely marine mole mortar that is still NIB... :(

why not emrald templar? also i like the paint scheme.

i dont know.. ive been building this army for the last 5 years. dark templar was my first choice, then i heard emerald knights (in reference to monty and the grail, lol) and that one started to fit too. emerald templar was my third or fourth, cant remember, but i settled on one of the first two. and thanks for the like, lol they started as purple

holy crap, a mole mortar! how cool is it that you got your hands on one of those! those were the days, when marines were more like real elite troops and not a bunch of ritualistic monks that are good at fighting.

yeah i know. i got it for about 15 bucks. haha. dont know if im gonna open it though.... :\

Thats a nice looking Vet you have there!!!

Although, thinking I recognised your scheme, a quick codex check reveals your scheme is the same as the Dark Angels successor, The Disiples of Caliban.

Cheers,

Jono

i can see where you got that idea. but its not quite the same. they use dark angels or another similar shade. im using an equivalent to snot green.

for my army, all weapons use boltgun and mithril silver to slightly differentiate the different parts of the weapon.

the helmet, mouth grille, chest peice, main body for the backpack, exhausts for the backpack, arms, S.Pad trim, belt, cod piece, thighs, robes, rivets(except when on black armor. then they are silver. see P.Axe vet), and boots are black.

the backpack top plate, exhaust covers, helmet faceplate, S.Pad insets, shins, and the tops of the hands are green.

all wires, eyepieces, chains, belt bucle, skulls, marks of honor, etc. are mithril.

thank you for showing me that! i didnt know that DoC had that scheme.

(p.s. im not trying to sound snappy with this comment. just making sure people notice the small things)

most of my models are unpainted, but let me know if you guys want to see everything laid out. id gladly take a shot of it.

as of right now, i have:

-around 30 full (10 man) Tactical squads

-around 6 full (10 man) Devastator squads

-around 8 full Assault squads

- around 5 full scout squads

-4 full terminator squads

-4 or 5 chaplains (1 terminator)

-4 librarians

-like 10 captains... its rediculous

-4 full command squads

-my chapter master

-3 tech marines (2 w/ harness, 1 of which ill convert to master of forge)

-1 thunder fire cannon

-1 mole mortar (might use it as a thunder..... not sure)

-7 predators

-4 land raiders

-3 land speeders

-6 bikes

-1 assault bike

-4 razor backs

-2 rhinos

-2 whirlwinds

-1 demolishers

and 11 dreadnoughts lol (1 ironclad, and 2 or 3 venerable(one of which is the really old contemptor "chuck")

now.. all of this is my assembled stuff.... i probably have another 20% of this to put together (thats why i only have 2 rhinos listed..)

let me know what you want to see,

Hunter

No Drop Pods? How can a chapter go without such things??? Just kidding :) But seriously you have a lot of stuff, and that is awesome!

lol, havent been able to invest in them just yet. i plan on getting the whole chapter done but im going away on business *cough military cough* for a year and wont be able to do anything.

ive been really stuck as of late because people have been reaally greedy on ebay.. so i havent been able to buy more heavy support and transports.

all in all, my overall plan is to have the whole chapter done (drop pods and thunderhawks too) and possibly some titans if i ever get around to using a template to flesh one out.
