Rik Biel
Well - I'm new here and thought I'd put up some pics of my work. KingDeath
Looking good. The white might need some work ( particularly on the Sternguard, the Beakie's helmet looks much better ) but otherwise i like them. Rider-75
The colours are very nice and crisp and I particularly like the fact you've gone to the effort of putting them into a display base  With the white on the first sternguard, I'd suggest making sure you thin down the paint and build up a strong white over several layers. Also with the sergeant, have a go at a simple wash and highlight on his face to give him some depth and character. Awesome first go though ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259892-my-first-wh40k-efforts-ultramarines/#findComment-3162557 Share on other sites
-Volsung-
You're slapping hella thick paints on the white. Give it an intermediary like fortress grey, then try the white on top of it. Yeah the sternguard needs some black lining. The beakie looks pretty good, just needs to thin down the white a bit. Blue looks great, tho! Rik Biel
Thanks Guys Yeah - I struggled with the white and went for instant coverage - and it shows Thanks for the tips - I still have a coupld from the verteran pack to do so will try the grey layer suggestion Cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259892-my-first-wh40k-efforts-ultramarines/#findComment-3162820 Share on other sites
