Daemons VS Gunlines

Heyas all, im new to daemons so i admit to not knowing that much about them and all that. Thing is that my meta is pretty much gunlines these days (lots of IG, TAU and even Necron guns, with some fliers). And for the life of me I cant seem to stay alive much more than deepstriking , maybe head to some cover then get blasted to bits...if some survive overwatch gets another few daemons and then i have no real punch left. As it is now ive bought a few daemons, like a blood thirster, screamers, plaguebearers (I play nurgle heavy chaos marines so i have a love for a nurgle daemonlist, and i dont want to rely to much on allies) some horrors and flamers a nurgle winged daemonprince and a soulgrinder...and i wanna expand my collection so the question is what to get, how should a list look that can live long enough to make a real dent into a gunline? All that ive proxied and tried have failed so far

Thanks

I've found that when dealing with gun line armies you want to take pink horrors since they can shoot and lessen their punch and against the armies your fighting you will ignore most of their armor. Flamers are also a good choice they can deal with their harder to kill units such as termies and units in cover. Soul grinders can also do a good against IG and tau, nercons they will get glanced to death if they are to close. for your monstrous creatures blood thirstier and LoC work well since they can enter play swooping and survive a turn of shooting. Have your assault units in the second wave so that you can kill as much as possable in your first turn/first wave. It also helps if they spread their forces out along there bored edge to focus on one part of their army kill most of it and then start to walk across there gun line. Hope this helps.
I've found that icons aren't to needed at lower point games but at 1500+ I find that having them in a 10 man squad of horrors can make the oppenets really fustarted since they have to chose to shoo the horrors with the banners or the flamers that can decimate there lines if let alone.

Part of this is tactics too. I still play my pure khorn list with much success, as long as I don't get cocky and bite off more than I can chew that is. The biggest one is to drop all your units on a flank and isolate the far units. It is better to drop on the side that is covered by poor fire lanes or behind some big LoS blocking terrain than in front of a unit you want to kill. The idea is to get some killing in before you start loosing models.

Other than that, horrors and phlegm packing soul grinders are your best bet as you learn. They don't have to wait for an assualt phase to cause damage. BTW, phlegm grinders are a must. It's a Dreadnaught with a battle cannon, 4 hull points, and ignores shaken and stun results. What's not to love for 160 points?

I have been running a pure tzeentch list with some pretty good sucess. Horrors are deceptively decent. They put out quite a bit of fire power. I normally run mine in msu units. But flamers really tear down tons of things. I have started running 2 heralds of tzeentch on a chariot with just an icon. That lets me flat out 24" on the turn i drop, and try to survive until the next turn and drop burning pain in my opponents lap. It does pretty well all around.

There are a few things that work against gunlines very well (they are actually not a horrible match-up for Daemons)

Flamers, can devastate gunlines (they do tons of wounds through flaming, or put out a good number of shots.)

Flying MCs absorb firepower etc.

One thing that makes a big difference though is terrain, if you play on a barren waste beating bunlines is tough, if you have LOS blocking terrain of any kind you can hammer gunlines.
