Chaos Terminator Lord [updated with more pictures]

This is my first Chaos Space Marine and my first display base. I built it because I've always wanted to do one and the only way to learn is to try it myself. If anyone has any questions on how I painted the model or constructed the base, let me know. On a side note, I trimmed the tree down a little because I got some feedback concerning the height of it. I'll snap a new picture when I get a free moment.

nice tree :HQ:

Really nice model too, love to see some close ups, and any other armies/models you may have.

EDIT: Thanks for the new pics, really crisp paint job, well done :)

It's a beautiful piece, no doubt, but I can't tell if the photography is helping it or hurting it. You need some shots of where the entire model - lightning claws and all - are in focus. I'm sorry that I haven't the slightest idea on how to do that though.

Was the tree trimmed down to the height in the pictures shown, or has been trimmed from what we see here? I think it is still too tall in these pictures.

The base is very nice.

The model appears to be painted well also. The blending on the claws is especially good. But the lighting makes it hard to really see the strengths/weakness well. The black background definitely does it justice though!
