Artifactors v 2.0 - Work in progress

Greetings!

Alright, it's time I took some time to get back into the hobby and my first order of business is to re-imagine my old Chapter, The Artifactors. This time around I wanted to make them look somewhat more "official" with the chapter symbol on the left shoulderpad and the tactical arrow on the right. Unfortunately I did not find any tactical arrow shoulder pads that met my standards, so I'm going to go with transfers once I get there (first time I'll work with setting solutions for decals!). For the shoulderpads I went with Puppetswar's Apis shoulderpads. Luckily I had lots and lots of bits left from making both a Grey Knights army and another Space Marine army, so I went crazy with purity seals, books, pockets, etc. I want the models to be busy and each of my marines to have plenty of honours; I want them all to look semi-heroic, at least!

The first "mid-ranged hero" I ever created. You can just barely see back of the grenade launcher at the side of the combi-melta (going to take a photo of that later!). The head is ordered from Puppetswar (great quality stuff from there) while the model itself is a converted Forge World Captain. I removed the helmet he held in his hand and put a sword there instead, as well as giving him a monsterous ranged weapon in his other hand. The icon on his back is to show his Deathwatch honours (one skull with an inquisitorial I for each tour of duty). The skullprobe is from the Grey Knights sprue I believe. Other than that I gave him more purity seals and books, got to love 'em!

Here you can easily see the shoulder pads from puppetswar. Used several heads from Sanguinary Guard, but removed the Blood Angel iconography. The Sergeant got a venerable dreadnought helmet.

That's it for now! If you have any comments, ideas or critique, feel free to voice them. =)
