The Colossus
Warband Name Brazen Warriors Origins In the wake of the Horus Heresy, many of the Iron Warriors on garrison duty throughout the Imperium were left behind in the dash to the Eye of Terror. One such group, numbering some two hundred were members of the Twelfth Grand Company, and utterly loyal to the Emperor. Their leader was an Iron Warrior known as Erasmus Drax, a skilled Warsmith, whose large bulk required his power armour to be modified with parts from Terminator armour. He was unusually possessed of a particularly fiery oratory, and at the close of the Horus Heresy he managed to persuade the warriors under his command that Perturabo had betrayed them. Hunted by the Imperium during the Scouring, they resolved to pursue Perturabo to the Eye of Terror to bring him to account, and to prove their loyalty to the Emperor. It is unsure what happened in their pursuit, but emerging from the Eye of Terror close to the end of M34, it was apparent that their sojourn had changed them. Later History The former Iron Warriors that returned were anything but loyal Imperials- they consorted with Daemons and embarked on a campaign of terror. It was clear that they had been bolstered by other Chaos Space Marines, and their estimated strength numbered in the thousands. Notable battles include the Siege of Hurspear’s Landing, and the Taking of Sextus Hive. Home World Collosintium: Ruler: The Brazen Council, a collection of Chaos Warlords and Sorcerers. Points of Interest: The Dead Quarter, where the buildings are made of the dead bodies of the Brazen Warrior's foes, and their tormented ghosts wander, shackled forever to the whim of the Wraith Sorcerors. The main fortress and barracks of the Brazen Warriors is located here. Bio: The planet operates as a mockery of a living planet, save everything, down to the smallest insect, is a daemonically possessed brass and iron construct. The populace (still human, at least as far as you can be on a Daemon World) eke out a living in continually building greater and more warped fortifications, in a vain attempt to gain favour with the ruling Chaos Space Marines. Those who survive the gruelling challenges are eligible to be considered for a place amongst the Brazen Warriors themselves. Beliefs They follow Chaos Undivided, and have a particular hatred for Imperial Asartes and Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marines. Combat Doctrine The Brazen Warriors fight very much as the Iron Warriors, save they have forged many Daemonic pacts, and are wont to summon hordes of Daemons to aid them, whilst using cultists and renegade guardsmen as cannon fodder. Organisation Little traditional organisation remains, instead, favour with the Chaos Gods, and brute strength and charisma determines rank. Possess many Daemonancers. Gene-seed Predominantly Iron Warriors- mutated by exposure to the warp. Battle-cry - Color Scheme Gold, with silver trim and black shoulderpads, a reversal of the Iron Warriors scheme C&C welcome :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260118-it-brazen-warrior/ Share on other sites
Lord Ferox Heartcleaver
All I can really recommend is that you expand and elaborate. It looks like you're going for Iron Warriors who embraced Chaos to a greater extent, so build on that. Expand on the Brazen Council. Using daemons heavily and worshipping Chaos outright is a change from "typical" Iron Warriors (at least as I always see them described), so expand and elaborate on that. Seeing as they were still loyal during the Heresy, it may be a good idea to do some slight expansion on what led to their fall, too (though being in the EoT for so long can certainly do that on its own). A good start, I look forward to seeing more. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260118-it-brazen-warrior/#findComment-3165893 Share on other sites
