SPWolf12
To tell you the truth, I used to think the same thing as you and when I purchased the 40k started kit to start my WIP I completely changed my mind. Prior to starting this vow I was working on White Scars with the old school Mechrite red, I always got frustrated when I got to painting red because of the whole water down properly and getting the right coverage. I was doing 3 passes before I got the result I was happy with. When I painted my DA with the new Mephiston Red that came with the starter set, I could not believe how easy it was, even without watering down the paint it left great results. undeadfilth
Sounds like they fixed the pigmentation issues with their last run. That's why most lighter colors(like white and flesh tones) I would get through P3's line. I'll have to check out gw's new line. I've heard good things about them but I just can't justify buying new paints when I have probably fifty pots of their old line that works just fine as well. undeadfilth
Ugh, another late night working on those damnable terminators>.> Anyways, their almost done. Just need to finish cleaning up any overlap on them then wash and highlight. I love the wash and highlight stage. Means I'm close to done:P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260197-my-path-of-vengeance-wip/page/2/#findComment-3182175 Share on other sites

elmo
Great job - excellent feathers effect. It may be my eyes/screen/camera but I would have gone for a bit more highlighting. How are you going to base them? ( try this shameless self plug :P ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260197-my-path-of-vengeance-wip/page/2/#findComment-3182946 Share on other sites
undeadfilth
I'm not sure what flavor I want to base my DA in yet, hence why I haven't yet. My Blood Angels have snow flock bases(nice contrast to the red) and my Necrons have this cool gravely brown earth with purple dry brush on top(really created the alien kind of look I was going for. undeadfilth
Unfortunately, my fiance's father has been in the hospitol, which has put an indefinate halt to my painting. Is there a way to modify my vow to the chaplain, 10 tacticals, and 5 termies that have been completed? I hate to go back on a promise, but given the situation i am left with no choice.
