ChrisSpaceWolves
My son took the Chaos so that left me with the DA force. I decided to slap some paint on the SGT last night. He's not done but this is where I left off last night. http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m339/ChrisMBianchi/100_7108.jpg http://i332.photobucket.com/albums/m339/ChrisMBianchi/100_7109.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260203-another-topic-about-painting-the-dark-vengeance-models/ Share on other sites
Bryan Blaire
Looking nice so far (though I prefer a deeper/darker red against the green). Recipes, if you don't mind sharing? How are you planning on doing the pistol and chainsword? Isiah
Awesome sauce. Fantastic job on the tabbard - the deep shadows really give him some movement. Cheers I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260203-another-topic-about-painting-the-dark-vengeance-models/#findComment-3166321 Share on other sites
FerociousBeast
Nice work, but I agree that the red needs to be redder. Looks rather pink to me. ChrisSpaceWolves
Nice work, but I agree that the red needs to be redder. Looks rather pink to me. I think with Highlights the red will look redder. The Flesh was Heavy Fleshtone from Vallejo, followed by wash of the old Ogryn Flesh, a highlight of the same and then a final blending with some Elf Flesh. The Green is Heavy Black Green from Vallejo blended over a black base followed by a scorpion green highlight. The Tabard is a Khaki followed by a Devlin mud wash and then Khaki blended over with a bone highlight. He's going to get some stubble on his chin so that should break up some of the flatness on his face. elmo
Nice work. The red does need to be darker though - I learned that after completing half a Company and it will be a long job to repaint them. Dark red avoids the Xmas tree look that the DA can end up with.
