Lokyar symbol?

So I have be trying to figure out the PERFECT symbol for my Great Company. And for some reason, just now, the idea of using Lokyar as my symbol would be perfect and kind of fitting with my Wolf Lords fluff. But now my question: Is there any GW fluff that shows ta symbol for it? I have looked through all I have and have come up empty handed. Just wondering if any one knows of something. Or else I might have to try and get creative again....

Well I know only a few hours isn't much time for all the wolves here, But I found these that I think would be good ideas to maybe base the symbol off of:

I think the first is kind of something that "would be expected" of the typical Space Wolf symbology, but the second would kind of be "it's own thing". Half a wolf's head lost in shadow with just an eye and some fangs showing. Not sure. Still willing to wait and see if any one know of any thing from "before my time".

Lokyar is the 'lone wolf'. It's a term that used to be used to describe those space wolves who couldn't fit into the usual fenrisian society/pack mentality, namely the scouts. It was said that they were 'touched by Lokyar' because they favoured their own company and being outside rather than confined to the Fang.

Whilst the spiritwolf and Lokyar are two seperate entities in fenrisian mytholgoy it isn't a bad symbol and anything that'll get it used more often is good to me lol.

Wulfebane, I did a spiritwolf symbol search and you actually posted a picture of it in the past.

It is a little different from what I would of thought, so maybe "modifying" it so will make a good Lokyar. I will have to play around with this. Maybe just the head surrounded by a moon or something....

Thanks!

It came from previous codices and wasn't spoken of much.

Ha, Lokyar is something? And here i thought it was a name i came up with.. few years back i brain stormed up a name for a char, believe it was an Elf in NwN. Anyway, that later moved on to become the name of my Wolf Lord, and a number of other chars of mine over the years. Funny enough if you do a google on Lokyar, a friend posted on youtube a video called 'Gruunk and Lokyar' which is myself in Warhammer!

Point being, i was amused to see "Lokyar symbol?" I.. dont have a symbol anymore! When i was younger i used the Yin symbol, as i liked it, but did not know what it was. B) Carved it into the shoulder of a few figures.

Perhaps a variation of something like these:

Just lines making an incomplete yet visible outline. I believe the top drawing in your imge is similar to the "ghost wolf" from one of the ealier Codices, except the neckline was longer (not so short as yours).

I kind of like the second best. Might have to work with that. It is kind of like one I made last night:

The left two are what I was meaning. I like the top left the most. Figure I would paint just the out line of time with a yellow eye. I might try to get it to look more like that second on you posted Growler67.

Those are images I have in a projects folder of mine, one of many. It has been a while as some things IRL have kept me away from The Fang here for far too long, though I do try to remember to pop in every once in a while. I will try to find some time to sketch out a few other ideas and take pics to post for you. I am enthralled with Wolf Scouts and all of their aspacts. Likewise I have specific ideas about them. Iconography among those ideas.

Strangely my Wolf Lord "chose" the Lokyar symbol due to his past. He was never a Wolf Scout. He was outcast from his tribe yet still survived due to his "gift". Then as a Space Wolf, most others did what they could to avoid him, kind of making him the "odd one out" so he kept to himself against his deep down want to have a pack. Eventually he was seen by his former Wolf Lord as a true Son of Russ, and promoted him to Wolf Guard. Yet he never forgot what Lokyar taught him while on his own.

Just a little fluff about my dude, hence why I want a unique company symbol.
