Ok running a Logan wing. His unit has Njal and 10 WG (7TDA 2 cyclones) and I usually Preferred Enemy them once tanks are all blown sky high. Anyhow I have 3 other WG units. 2 have a TDA Asscan and 4 power armor guys, and the last one is 5 TDA with heavy flamer. So here are my questions:

A) can the 2 asscans leave their initial unit and Join with another group?

:D if so, do I stack them in Logan's unit or team them up with the other termie five man?

I have the heavy flamer to offset any horde what not at my league and there are quite a few bastion lists. Flamers are sweet vs that fortification non sense.

The list of viable units which can be led by a Wolf Guard Pack Leader are listed in the special rule insert on Pg.86. Since you list having Wolf Guard packs only, the short answer is - no.

Answer- No they can only join blood claws grey hunters swift claw bikers wolf scouts and long fangs I don't mean to sound mean or nasty but it is in the codex page 86 under wolf guard entry. So nice idea I wolfguard heavy weopens team but it's not eligible.
Not a mean answer. Just means I can split my fire up a bit more. I was hoping to leave the two four-man units in the back field holding objectives. My thoughts where that the Big Book listls them ans characters in their 6th ed profile and thus able to move about.
There's a difference between characters and independent characters. Characters are, for example, squad sergeants, who have higher leadership and wider access to the armoury. Independent characters are the overall leaders of your force or important personalities such as Librarians or Chaplains. They are defined on page 63. A favourite sig quote of mine (not my own) is - "reading the rulebook, like sacrificing minions, solves many a problem".
