boreas
Ok, so last time I played BFG, there were only the "official" rulebooks on GW's site. Most rules were very good, some rules worked "ok" at best. I played SM/IN but my friend's nids were a nightmare to use with the wierd list... Now, I've read the 2010 FAQ, and it seems to correct lots of things. But I also got BFG:R. Now this has a few uspsides, mainly the very clear and balanced fleet lists (including nids...). But it also unfinished and I can't find the last parts (pages 46 and later, I think). So, by your collective experience, what's best: -Using GW's BFG+2010FAQs with the original BFG/2010FAQ lists or -Using GW's BFG+2010FAQs with the BFG:R lists or -Using BFG:R and fill in any missing rules with the BFG+2010FAQs rules Thanks! Seahawk
BFG 2010 is what you want to go by. Unless you feel like playtesting and contributing to the community (not a bad thing!) then don't bother with BFG:R yet. It's an unfinished product that's subject to change, after all. boreas
And would using any BFG:R lists be ok (most BFG:R "special rules" like massive can be deduced)? I really prefer those lists for the Inquisition (with access to GK strike cruisers without being capped at 1 per 500pts) and the nids (which are way clearer...). Thanks! Seahawk
You'd have to discuss it with any opponents. They may not want anything to do with R yet, or they'll be happy to play it, who knows. Just be sure you both are using the same rules, lest one gets an unfair advantage.
