aleksandur Posted September 6, 2012 Share Posted September 6, 2012 I'm not sure if I should be posting this here or in the chaos undivided section, but my question is about screamers, flamers, and counts-as models rather than marines. I know this is blasphemy to some, but I obviously don't care since I was running all of my regular IWs as plague marines throughout 5th ed. whatever the perceived fluff offense is, I can find a way to justify it. I want to run csm with daemons as allies, I want to use flamers and screamers. my question is this: what models should I use for the flamers and screamers that would have a good iron warriors "feel" to them? I am already using servitors as plaguebearers, so those are right out. I looked in the epic line, but couldn't quite find anything that wouldn't end up looking like a 40k version of an RC plane, servo skulls are too small, although I could use groups of servo skulls, but then I'm left with still having to find something for the flamers. EricBasser Posted September 7, 2012 Share Posted September 7, 2012 For some reason, count-as for the flamers gets me thinking about Ork Burna Boyz bitz. Something that has a welding torch. Just an idea. It's a little hard to explain the deep striking in though. If you can get something mechanical looking that would be even better. Wraiths from necrons? For screamers. I would go with flying discs. Either buzz saw edges or mechanical arms coming out with saws and stuff. An easy way to explain the robotic figures is that they are part of the orbital bombardment before the iron Warriors main force attacks. Maybe scouts to recon. I just scratch built my screamers. Wooden Balls, Greenstuff, and plastic forks. I mimicked some floating balls with mouths. The forks made for quick and easy jagged teeth. Didn't turn out too bad. I'll try to get some pictures up in a couple of days. For my nurglings, since I am running mono-tzeentch, I want to get the Epic Chaos Horrors. Look about the same soze as nirglings, but just look tzeentchy.
