EricBasser
Well, I looked quickly through the FAQ. I am happy with what is in there. A big one is FMC now have Skyfire. Hello Lord of Change and Bolt Princes. Grounded FMC now lose Hard to Hit. Fateweaver only works with Chaos Daemons units, but it seems like the Tally Man still works for all things nurgly. CSM Icons now work with Daemons. As long as they are worded with "all friendly models". Not Chaos Daemons, but CSM, the Daemon Prince is now a FMC, no longer a Jump MC. So how can we make a list that fits into 1859 Points with 6 FMC? Maybe a ADL with Comm Relay and a couple of Icons. Necron Flyer Spam beware. Azekai
CSM Icons now work with Daemons. As long as they are worded with "all friendly models". Actually, because our codex is old and dumb, they don't. The wording on CSM icons states that it only works for terminators, obliterators, and Summoned Daemons. It lists specific units, rather than saying 'all friendly models.' Which is sad . . . I guess GW just wants to prevent OP chaos + daemon builds. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260508-new-faq/#findComment-3169858 Share on other sites
AekoldHelbrass
It will work other way around though - wording allows to deploy all CSM including Raptors next to Daemon's icons. EricBasser
Hopefully that changes with the next codex. Anyone noticw the typo with swooping/gliding FMC? I'm guessing it will be fixed soon, but it looks like gliding FMC are hard to hit. x01848m
So the new FAQ lays out soul devourer as being a power weapon at ap 3. 1. Doesn't being a MC/FMC over-ride this and still make you ap 2? 2. Does fate weaver with his staff make this +2 str due to the power maul rules? Then combined with MC/MFC, as per #1, make this ap 2? I have seen some debate about #2 before, and the new FAQ leads me to believe that this is now a credible ruling. Seahawk
1. Read the rules for Smash. All of their attacks are AP2 unless they're attacking with an AP1 weapon. 2. It's just a staff, not a power staff. No +2 strength. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260508-new-faq/#findComment-3174872 Share on other sites
Brother Ambroz
The Soul Devourer AP was mainly for Tzeentchian heralds. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260508-new-faq/#findComment-3174879 Share on other sites
breng77
Essentially they FAQ'd soul devour as a unique PW AP3 S as user. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260508-new-faq/#findComment-3175555 Share on other sites
Cheex
It will work other way around though - wording allows to deploy all CSM including Raptors next to Daemon's icons. No it doesn't; the amendments section changes Chaos Icons fom the Daemons codex as only working on units from the same codex.
