Not sure, but he looks pretty cool so far.

On a side note, I remember you doing a Space Hulk-esqe gaming board a long time ago. How did that turn out? I was really wanting to do something like that, and I'd apprieciate the measurements you used.

Back on track, I'm looking forward to seeing how this fella turns out!

I was going to say ED209 of Robocop, but looking at the torso, I'm kinda thinking that after your amazing Orktimus Prime, that perhaps the Imperials have....Soundwave? My rationale for it is that the top part looks a bit like Soundwaves chest where Ravage, Rumble, Frenzy etal go/eject from. But then I am quite well known for barking up the wrong tree...

Regardless, it'll be interesting to follow say the least! ^_^

No cookies yet... have no plans for an imperial autobot/decepticon just yet. Prime is... unique in his way, but I will always be looking to integrate pop culture stuff from my life into it. Did you see the Orca yet? XD

@ 1000heathens: the table is about done up, but at current it can only service a 6x4. Will always be adding stuff to it. The measurements are all in multiples of 2". The walls are made of wood that are 1" thick. All wall dimensions work around there, so you can easily grid it up.

Here are more progress shots. Worked on the shoulders. Had a bit of trouble finding the details, namely the ribbing, but settled on gears in washers. I did a couple of variants, but they turned out too large, so made them smaller.

There is a centre block that has a core, which cain doesn't have, but I didnt want the base plate and the pistons to bear all the weight. Interestingly, Kotobukiya rubber ball joints fit the FW dreadnought leg joints...:) (yes I cut up a FW dread for the hips, but it was leftover from another conversion thingie...)

The pistons were a pain to do up, especially the alignments. Had to do each individual piston and the connectors seperately and align them all together...

Major updates!

For those who are wondering, the parts for the pistons are as follows:

Brass rod as a bracket as the walls are really thin and nicely to scale

1.6 mm tube as the base

2 mm tube as the bracket at the end

1.2 mm tube as connector to the U bracket

U-shape rod

1mm plastic sheet to make the

Worked on the shoulders since. Added the smaller manupuilator from the IG sentinel and the toes from the sentinel foot I used.

@gravengames: While he is based of cain, there are many elements of him that will remain 40k-ish and there will be more skulls, but that's at the detailing stage...;) the whole section with the skull, the cowl area on the back doesn't exist on Robocain, but it does tie it back to our dreads/termis, so it is there.

@Bioharard: Here is a mock up as to what I have actually done so far, but the head doens't look right. it is too small, and the ears push the face plate too far forward. It works great for my marines (which is what I based it on) but it does work so well for the dread, so it is going...:S

@Killax: Actually he is much smaller than a DK. Rather I will be using him more as a Contempter Dread. The scale is about right and the weapons can fit somewhat.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what to represent his right (our left) mini arm with? I was thinking a plasma cutter, which can also represent the plasma blaster, but haven't designed it yet... the techmarine one is quite large.

I think that head look pretty much spot on to be honest with you mate. Looks fantastic. I'm not to sure about the mini arm. Have you looked at maybe the Space Marine Devastator missile launcher loading arms? Or would this be too small?
