This is the first Dark Vengeance mini I've managed to get some paint on. I have never painted and Dark Angels so I am looking forward to painting the rest of them, as well as the Chaos! Enjoy!

Smooth, clean, and crisp. He looks very nice, and the base looks great.

My one nitpick is that the highlights on the bone sections of the plate are very hard to see, though it may just be from the photo or lighting.

Whatever, he looks awesome. Planning on more?

I think the highlights are very good, subtle yet managing to have the plates stand out. I really hate the in-your-face out-and-out extreme highlights, yuck.

Superb. And it's your first DW you say? I like the bone colour you've option for – steered well clear of the 'creamy/yellow' GW look. Have to say the photography is doing a great job on this model in adding deep shadows.

Cheers
