elithren
So now that Bjorn counts as a character and can issue challenges, I think he is going to be a beast of a counter assault unit because he can pick out the powerfist serg, leaving the rest of the squad helpless to his AV13 front armor. Plus, if he gets shot and killed, you get a free objective marker in your deployment zone. I think we will start seeing more of this uber dread used in lists. Thoughts and comments? Combos? Lord Ragnarok
But for him to use the challenge he will probably be more aggressive against foes who are not aggressive right? And although he gives you a free objective he costs tons of pts. 270 points is a lot for an objective marker. Darog
Only 3 HP. Huge price 270 +. Almost complete uselessness, low vitality. There is a good combo with Lucius drop pod, which he can take, but instead 270+65, I would take something else. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
That was the only thing that caught my attention as well, Wulfebane. But over all, I think he will only get table when I'm playing large friendly games. Iacton Qruze
I've been running him to good effect since 6th hit. He has the most accurate plasma weapon in the galaxy. Not only does the 6BS reduce scatter distance, but is sufficiently high to allow you a reroll both on the scatter roll and the gets hot! check. picking up Endurance and casting it on him can help with his HP as well. Yes its new, vehicles that roll a 1 for getting hot receive a glancing hit if they roll a 1,2 or a 3 after that. p37 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260579-bjorn-goodness/#findComment-3170870 Share on other sites

dswanick
picking up Endurance and casting it on him can help with his HP as well. shows how much I play but what is HP? Hull Points? It allows for the regeneration of lost Hull Points on a d6 5+. AS a note a 1/2 of SW wins on the US tournament scene in 5th were by a list that included Bjorn I think he is bit like Njal underated on the net but with a habit of turning up in tournament winning lists. I know reece robins did a tactica on how he used Bjorn to win so many tournaments Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260579-bjorn-goodness/#findComment-3171677 Share on other sites
MalachiOfRuss
Didn't his tactica include getting Bjorn killed in Capture and Control missions so that you can have 2 Objectives on your side of the board and thus win? Iacton Qruze
I seem to recall that, but Bjorn's only worth 1 point now, so it really doesn't behoove you to get him killed anymore, unless you really need to be fearless for some reason. Ethzor
Also if your lucky on your Warlord roll he can be scoring :) I've always wanted to take him but still have never found the right list to put around him. Perpetual Dawn
Also if your lucky on your Warlord roll he can be scoring :) I've always wanted to take him but still have never found the right list to put around him. I wasn't sure if he couple be a warlord as he doesn't have a ld value. In my first 6e game he held my flank single handed from an ork warboss with nob and boyz which outflanked due to warlord trait. Really need to right up the rest of the tale. He did fall in the end but not without taking the warboss and all but a handful of boyz with him in an explosion (there were a few rule errors) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260579-bjorn-goodness/#findComment-3172102 Share on other sites
Iacton Qruze
He can be a warlord if he's your only HQ. I'm tinkering around with a list with Eldar allies, with him as my Warlord. So far it's... mischievous? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260579-bjorn-goodness/#findComment-3172365 Share on other sites
