Pascalnz
hit there, I'm in the middle of doing an odd bit of pre heresy.. ish stuff:P. I had the idea that a specialised section of the Ba legion Had been sent on an urgent mission to Baal, or possibly in the crazy chaos of FTT a vessel was sent on a mission by Sanguinius. Sanguinius could forsee a great need for the BA and that if this vessel was sent at this time to Baal they would be critical in the survival of the Angels. What he didn't see however was the warpstorm that would catch the vessel and throw it out 10 000 years later During the massive assault on baal mentioned at the end of the timeline in the BA codex. Anyhoo, I am making 3 sets of mk4 devastators, 25 or 30 mk4 assault marines, 2 relic contemptors, 1 normal contemptor.[2 furioso dreads 1 regular furioso, fists] 10 tartaros terminators[shooty] I also have 5 more tartaros suits and the upgrade pack for a priest and captain+ maybe assault canons if they ever come out]. I also have sevrin loth[mk4 librarian red scorpion bits cleaned off] and the mk2 and 4 apothecaries. What I was wondering was, the aquilla symbol was only handed out to heroes of the imperium. I'm trying to put together the best equipped guy sat the time and uh, most heroic. would it be unreasonable to have termies wearing the aquilla?? I think 10 guys out of the legion going on a special mission should be allright? same for the dreadnoughts. I find it odd that so many want to remove the aquilla's from pre heresy termies and contemptor dreads, surely they are heroes? I'm going to try and take some pictures as I progress. should be fun:P
Blindhamster
up to and during the heresy the only legion to wear the Aquilla were the Emperors Children. This didn't change until the end of the Heresy as far as I know. So if they're PH, no Aquillas. That being said, they're your models, and the hobby is your hobby, so feel free to break with the canon for cool factor :)
Pascalnz
emperor's children were the only chapter "en masse" to be allowed to wear it, but I was pretty sure it was handed out as a reward to heroic individuals as well?
Blindhamster
possibly, the closest thing I found was references to single headed eagle breastplates (Garro).

Leonaides
Go to your account details up in top right corner and you can create your own gallery of images. Upload to that and then you can use an image link to this thread. Or something like that!
