Hfran Morkai
Hfran Morkai, “The Wolf-King’s Raven”, was one of the first Fenris-born to become Wolf Lord of his own Great Company, which he rapidly converted into a force designed for infiltration, intelligence gathering and covert operations. As such The Wolf-King utilized Morkai’s Company as his ears and nose, hunting out foes of the Allfather and guiding the wrath of the Sixth Legion down upon them. “The Wolf-King’s Raven, brother of shadows, the silent hunter, claimer of the dead, his titles are many...and fitting for one blessed by both Lokyar and Morkai. He fears no death for he is death itself, silent, inevitable, inescapable, intangible. Morkai prefers to hunt in the shadows, with his chosen brothers, those he trusts above all. He takes great pleasure in assaulting a foe from an unseen location before swiftly moving on and repeating his sudden strikes. However when he makes himself known his presence strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies, as they know him for the death that he brings, they fear the snarl hidden by his beaked helm. Morkai wields his wickedly bladed Frost Axe, “Morkai’s Bite” cleaving even the most heavily armed foe in twain whilst his precious Frost Dagger “Lokyar’s Kiss” slashes at arteries and vulnerable areas, in a beautiful dance of death.”-Rune Priest Irlin the Grey Hfran was singled out for duty in the Scout packs almost as soon as he passed through the doors to the Fang, his cunning and seemingly natural ability to blend into the background, though the Rune Priests took considerable interest in him for reasons undisclosed. Perhaps the Storm bestowed some gift upon him that he was not entirely aware f. His time spent among the Scout packs only helped further his own cunning and knowledge of covert strategies, teachings he would implement when raised to a member of the Wolf Guard and indeed, even Wolf Lord. Any Wolf Scout unit in an army containing Hfran Morkai may take a locator beacon for +15 points. Wolf Scout packs may also purchase the Stealth USR at +5 points per model So basically this is The Character I imagine leading my Great Company to war. I costed Saga of the Hunter at 20 points for him, originally to gain stealth as I'm not concerned about outflanking him. However with Shrouded he'd get a +3 to cover saves as would his unit, which is perhaps a bit too much even if I priced Shrouded at 30 points for the upgrade. Figured hit and run at 20 points should be fair, might stipulate that Terminators can’t do it though, which would be a shame as no way to get Runic Armoured Wolf Guard, unless I go with a retinue of Battle Leaders lol. The rule "The Wolf-King's Raven" is pretty much how I reckon Scouts should have been in the Codex anyway and its the main purpose for me including a Unique Wolf Lord ruleswise. I don't know if I should put a points cost on the ability as it obviously costs to give those Scouts upgrades. Feedback? He will be mainly for use in Apocalypse when I can have masses of Scouts and points costs aren't too much of a concern (so if he needs to be more expensive to justify the boons so be it). Race Bannon
Shouldn't Stealth have a specified terrain type? I think the BRB changed the USR in this regard. *Furyou Miko
Stealth is a generic rule, however there are several instances (such as a warlord trait) that grant Stealth only in specific terrain types.
