I would suggest that you take out the bit about Captain Sicarius since if you got your geneseed from him then your chapter is so new they havent even taken the wrapping off their bolters... Not exactly able to boast about always there to back up the Ultramarines since I doubt they'd need it very often anyway... You could always try using the Chapter Name generator here if you are stuck for names. Edit: Also, please try and use some punctuation - makes it a hell of a lot easier to read things, especially if you're writing a lot. Ecritter
Not really how a chapter is made or deployed. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260874-muzzer-marines/#findComment-3174627 Share on other sites

PorridgeMeister
Well that's how my marine's are made. With respect, you probably won't get many replies, if any at all, since you have decided to totally ignore established canon in several major respects, and have provided us with very little to work with - this insinuates that you haven't put any thought into the post and/or Chapter. A few noble souls will venture here to help you, which I will do, but the majority of regular users will likely not take part in this thread due to the above reason. I won't go into detail because that kind of discussion always leads to lots of controversy and wasted time spent discussing the nature of the boards. Suggestions: - read up more on how Chapters are made, organised and deployed. - think up a new name for your Chapter, second the suggestion regarding the name generator. - if you cannot be persuaded to get rid of "Muzzer", relegate it to the homeworld's name in some form. - read some of the Lexicanum articles on other GW-created Chapters. - have a think about the organisation and nature of your Chapter. Leonaides
I try to use punctuation but i never paid attention in school. And also my chapter will back up the ultramarine's whenever they need it. And herin begineth lesson the first... If you can use a computer you are capable of writing better than your initial post. Since you obviously can use a computer then try to do better next time. Other people will only put as much effort into your chapter as you do. This includes both their 'story' and how you present it, as Porridge said: having a look at how other people have constructed their chapters may be of help to you for inspiration. Also: What do your chapter do when the Ultramarines dont need any help? Play gin rummy? Because at the moment the background you've given them is similar to a 5-year old saying that he looks out for 1 Para every time they get deployed to somewhere nasty and need to call for backup... Sorry, and i mean that nicely, but it does. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/260874-muzzer-marines/#findComment-3175201 Share on other sites

Wotcha, welcome to the Liber. ;) The geneseed's more likely to just be a generic mix of a bunch of Ultramarines, since Captain Cato there would only be able to give two lots thereof, and one of those only on his death. Not that it makes any odds, really, any one Ultramarine's as good as another give or take natural talents or lack thereof. *Reads rest of the C&C* Huh. :) Quick aside to the rest of my Liber-brothers - without wanting to antagonize anyone, it might be a good idea to ease up a bit. You're dealing with a newcomer to the forum, not a scarred and grizzled should-know-this-already veteran. Battering people over the head with stuff that seems pretty obvious to us is still battering someone over the head with stuff, and people not used to the acid-like, body-and-soul-punching C&C of the average Liberite might be a bit put off if you come in with the heavy negatives without couching them in gentle pointers. Instead of just going 'not done old boy' or 'cease defiling canon', explain what the usual alternative is, or at least give (or link to) an example. Back to the OP: On that note, If you want to find out more about how chapters are created and so forth, I can reccomend the heck out of the DIY Guide, especially this bit: How Chapters Are Born. It's a long read, but it's more-or-less comprehensive and pretty interesting. EDIT: Typos. Why do I always type these things after 11pm?
