wickedcarrot Posted September 12, 2012 Share Posted September 12, 2012 I painting an Imperial Fists army for a Battle of X Gamers style thing that we are doing at Golem Painting Studio where all the members of the studio have to paint 250 points of 40k a month :lol: For my first 250 points I want a Librarian, 5 Marines and maybe a transport. I tried doing it several times and I just ran out of steam. :lol: The only thing I have to say is that you should try to establish some contrast between each feather in the aquilla, and between the red and yellow on the shoulder pad trim. And I do love a servo-skull to add some character and life to a squad too :lol: On the Aquila/red, have you thought about trying a green wash, it gives red some great definition and shading with next to no effort, it's worked wonders for the red accents on my RG army recently. Love the model as is and it already pretty much looks like what its meant to be. Loving the Fists, and am really interested in how you go about this new addition.
