Alright, so this started back in August, but I'm in the process of a push to get 2000 points painted by the end of November (the end of said escalation league).

Here, have a pic.

Enticed? I just made a full blog post, go check it out here!

From here on, I'll try to throw some WIP shots of the units in this thread.

Nice read I'm doing the same thing with some of my friends (500 point escalation force) I'm still painting mine though our methods are similar! I like how you mixed in different Legs... I didn't do that and I sorta regretting it now because the Space Wolf ones in the box are kinda static I find.

Looking forward to seeing more

I've seen that scheme of the copper aged with alot what are you washing the copper to get it tarnished? I'm using gold and silver on mine which don't tarnish with age but using it here and there on certain models would be pretty cool.

And another standard is set. Russ would be proud. Bloody nice work. Love the verdigris effect. Have since I first saw the Dread a while ago. Helps give your force unity without it all looking the same if that makes any sense. Jealous of all the amazing free hand touchs. Wow!

Here's a small update. Completed the Long Fangs I'm now working on a few changes to some previous models, in preparation for a Tournament coming up in a couple of weeks. The Escalation League died, as they are wont to do, but I'm still plugging along. :o

The second part of my step-by-step is up as well, covering banners. http://drownedinplastic.blogspot.com/2012/...-2-banners.html

A few little updates. I finished off the Long Fangs as you know, and jumped into getting my Bastion ready for battle, so that'll be in the next update. I added an arm to my old dreadnought, plus some snow and whatnot to fit him in with the rest of my army.

And my admittedly small force overall, but it is growing.

Been holding off on assembling/painting my aegis defense line since I want it to look more like a terrain piece than a lego kit.. So I am absolutely DYING to see your bastion!

Also, very sneaky, hiding those glowy plasma guns/cannons.. Don't think for a second we don't want some close-up shots!
