Lord_Caerolion
hmm, what about loken vs torgaddon? i know there's a picture of him somewhere in 'collected visions...' Yeah, the Collected Visions also got a fair few things wrong, like the "Dark Angels Captain", who has purple armour with gold trim, and the Legion icon of a winged claw... dustermaker
The story goes that Horus, wanting a quick resolution to the siege, dropped the shields so he could face the Emperor and end the war. Would be awesome if the truth turns out to be that Horus is winning, the gates have been breached and the loyalists gather for their last stand. Little horus drops the shields and the Emperor takes advantage of this turn of fortune. Would be a great ending to the series that has already turned many "facts" of the heresy upside down. Actually there used to be two versions of this. One was that Horus dropped the shields because he knew that the Space Wolves and Dark Angels were coming and needed to end the siege quicker by killing the Emperor. The other was that Horus was about to win and dropped the shields to be able to better witness the Emperor's death and his final victory and the Emperor took advantage of this and teleported up. I think the current version is the first one though, the other dates back to Third Edition when a lot of the fluff existed from different perspectives much like the Iron Cage incident which is told rather differently depending on whose perspective is taken into account. All the versions just say say Horus, could be little Horus all along. Not that they did that on purpose, just an easy way to Shyamalan twist the Heresy. nuclearship
wow, this is a great idea...really - there are doubts in little Horus so there must be something happening in the future and if he would be the one to lower the shields it would be a nice twist :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/261028-loken-vs-abaddon/page/2/#findComment-3186058 Share on other sites
