Dark Path to Redemption (October vow complete!)

This thread will be for my ongoing Path to Redemption painting progress with pictures of my models as I complete them. If I can remember to do so, some before shots as well.

First to be finished are my librarian and chaplain from the Dark Vengeance set. Straight from the sprue and so eager to get started with them I neglected to take any shots of the models before or during assembly. Although it took me longer to paint them I than expected. Very nice to paint though and my only complaint is that they are so much easier to paint whilst unassembled. Too many folds and details that are too fiddly to get to once the model is put together.

Not sure if I shall name them or what names I shall settle on.

More will follow and with any luck I shall stay on track for my vow commitment. Still the Company master and squad of Deathwing terminators to go though. I doubt I will do any conversions for this lot as the models are so nice.

Ok, this may be last minute and I had meant to upload this much earlier but I did not have access to the net or a computer for most of the weekend, however my clock tells me it is still September (just) so here's the a photo of my completed vow.

I wish I hadn't cut it so close.

I will add better shots of the models later. Not sure about October's vow yet.

The main thread has a slightly shoddy photo proving that I did complete my October vow on time but here are some better shots of the squad with a few close ups of the sergeant and plasma cannon models and one of the more detailed back packs.

First up a group shot of the squad:

The sergeant

Plasma cannon

I feel that there were perhaps a few too many purity seals, this backpack being a case in point.

Lastly a group shot of all the Dark Vengeance figures I have painted so far.

Not sure what I'll do for November but I'm thinking more to finally getting back to my Space hulk terminators and converting them to Deathwing in the same manner as my librarian. (Nothing special, just subtely adjusting the blood drops into gems and hiding any other non-Dark angel paraphernalia.)

Ermm... what about the DV bikes? I mean you got the DW, the green marines, the three Characters... what's the matter, you don't like bikes? :) Although the Space Hulk termies would be nice to sit next to the DV ones...

Choices, choices... ;)

I like the bikes, I was leaving them out just to take a break from the Dark Vengeance but I guess I should paint them, especially since I have aquired a second set of models after swapping out the chaos ones.

I've space to do them and a couple of terminators I suppose...

What I really need to do is spend a bit more time taking pictures as I paint them so I do a proper progress log as apposed to my currently finished product pics. Maybe a little tactica for the choices might be good as I know from past experience that one of the issues with some models is not fielding them due to armament. Sergeants with plasma pistols for instance.
