Damn, totally dig the paintjob. Those are very nicely painted.

Not a fan of his snow effects tho. I don't like those thick crystals he glues to the model itself, and it looks too melted. I'm more of a fan of fluffy, snowed out bases with the dusted frost look people do with white airbrush paint. Probably wouldn't work on that grey color, tho.

whoa, what are all these people doing in my room? :)

@ Volsung: To each his own. I've actually never liked the bases with fluffy snow. I just don't see it staying that way very long after the wolves get there. ;)

I had never though of airbrushing snow dust onto the models, though, so thanks for that!

The stuff on the model is the same stuff I glue to the base, though. The limited amount and the higher contrast probably make them seem larger than they do when they are just on the base.

I'm doing a tutorial using a long fang pack leader as my subject right now. Part one will be the armor, so you should stop back by the blog sometime soon and take a look! ;)

Yeah, no prob!

Jennifer Haley had a very nicely painted Wolf Lord she used to have on her website, I don't know if it's still up. She did that effect really well, it came out looking really frosted, like a metal lampost in the middle of winter. Like if you stuck your tongue to the ceramite, it might get stuck there! ^_^

But yeah, let me know if you're interested. I think she sent me the image some time back, I can forward it to ya
