Orwasitme Posted September 20, 2012 Share Posted September 20, 2012 So when I originally picked Chaos Space Marines, i picked that I would do The Sons of Horus / Black Legion. It was my second army (after Tyranids), and i picked Chaos at a point where I knew / know that a codex would be out soon. I bought a Chaos Terminator Lord and a pack of regular marines, but then nothing after that, at first. The Chaos Lord The Regular Marines Then, Dark Vengeance released, and of course i wanted it - It was half Chaos. The Chaos Lord and the "named" Chosen The Cultists are unfinished, i cant figure out what to do with some of their cloth with the paints i have. I also noticed that two of them looked UBER B/A with the power shoulders. The Chosen Marines. The Helbrute : SPOILER: The next portion of this topic is in the background on this one. So, I talked to my brother and a friend and they suggested using the others for The Fallen so i could make a use of the Dark Angels. There was so much iconography, including a lot of a aquila that I didn't feel like getting rid of. Also, my brother plays Black Templar, so I had to make sure that they were seperated from his stuff, while still being Chaosy, while still being evident that they were once Dark Angels. So I'm giving them a little bit of my own fluff (since they don't update it, why not?) and saying that other Dark Angels have fallen to chaos AFTER the herecy - and these are them. Warsmith Aznable Posted September 20, 2012 Share Posted September 20, 2012 For cloth I normally use Bleached Bone (or whatever the new name would be). I think it gives a nice canvas or dirty linen look, and can be washed in various shades depending on how clean or gritty you want it to look. Or you could go flesh colored to make it look like flayed human skin, because they're nutty cultists. But good on you for painting the DV set so fast. Dude, I'm still painting basic troops I purchased three years ago. God I must have near 5,000 points of Chaos by now, maybe more, and all but a handful of squads, a daemon prince and bloodthirster, 3 oblits, and 2 rhinos, aren't even basecoated. Orwasitme Posted September 21, 2012 Author Share Posted September 21, 2012 (remembering that I made the fluff for my The Fallen to be POST-heresy) I decided to have a little fun with this terminator. chopped off an arm and put on some leftovers from the Chaos Terminator Lord. Powerfists don't look fancy and the Chainfist looked kinda dumb, so since we only play casual with friends we decided it would be acceptable for me to put model a Lightning Claw, even if he were to have a Daemon Weapon (i cant find where my axe went -.-). Then i added some personality with some battle scars on the armor. The Lightning Claw w/ Personality Personality baby Mhm. Yeah. Work it, honey!
