Brother Captain Andrew
These are the first major conversions I've done, so I thought I'd throw them up here. Still have some green stuff modification and filing to do before getting to paint, but I think the mock-ups have turned out really well. 1. Emperor's Champion (base model Gabriel Seth) Loved the pose, and was going to do a basic conversion and call it done, but I got caught up with this image in my head. If I wasn't basing this for gaming I'd use a bigger base and have the victim of that backward cut/stab behind him. Also I'm now going to use the back pack on him. http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc485/alphafox/40k%20Album/DSC01405.jpg http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc485/alphafox/40k%20Album/DSC01404.jpg 2. TDA Chaplain (Crozius (Staff) and Thunder hammer) http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc485/alphafox/40k%20Album/DSC01400.jpg http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc485/alphafox/40k%20Album/DSC01401.jpg 3. Count as Sicarius (Based of Emperor's Champion model) http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc485/alphafox/40k%20Album/DSC01402.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/261483-my-first-conversions/ Share on other sites
Brother Joseph
I love the idea behind the EC but his extendo neck and arms kill it for me. If you shortened both arms and nestled that head in with a way shorter neck he could be an awesome model That being said, the backpack on the guy is amazing. I think I can get the neck with some work, I wanted to get the chin of the helmet a bit higher thus the extra green stuff. as for the arm any suggestions? I've tried to keep it in proportion as much as possible but every time I do sculpt it it turns out a bit to long. Brother Joseph
cut off 1/32 - 1/16 of the wrist and then use GS to re-sculpt the cuff higher up the arm. the positioning is great its just a little to long. as for the head. if you have a drill bit that the right size, I've found that that drilling almost too deep into the neck and then building it back up with GS gives me the most control. Azekai
The Sicarius/champ looks good but the sword arm needs to be repositioned at the shoulder to align with the body properly . . . Brother Captain Andrew
Adjusted some of the GS work, and its about as good as I can get right now. Chopped the neck and shortened the arm on the champion (thanks for the suggestion Brother Joseph) and did some re-positioning on the "Sicarius" and the Champion.
