Mark VIII Errant Power Armour?

Other than those, you can't get it. Forge World says that they won't do it, because it's too similar to Mk7, which is a real pity - Goodwin-style Mk8 with the alternate head, legs, backpack and gauntlets as well as the chestplate would be brilliant, particularly since they're doing Minotaurs in the next IA.

That's not a full mk8 suit either.

The mk8 has ball joints at the ankles with the greave shaped around them at the bottom.

I'll see if I can link a picture from somewhere....

EDIT: you can see the joints clearly on the left image.

EDITED EDIT: also note the narrower, shallower air grill to allow the helmet to fit behind the neck guard.

might just be my age but i thought there was a mk8 armour model that didnt have the arms attached back in the depths od 2nd edition?

There was - I have 3 of them in one of my tac squads. Made with the old slightly poisonous lead...

edit - Rider-75, are you sure if thats a real GW model? those forearms look a bit squiffy to me but the main body is a spitting image of my marines...

It is genuine:

It only required a Bolter, shoulder pads and backpack. You can just make out the knobble for the bottom of the gun grip in his right hand.

There was indeed an armless cast as well that used the (then) new mk7 arms and Bolter and backpack sprues too

Edit: knew I'd find it somewhere.....

Mk VIII Vambraces could be represented by Mk IV arms, as they are almost the same design.

The legs are easy to make, just carve the inside ankle of a set of Mk VII legs and then add a small ball of GS, job done :)
