Blood Angels Blood Chalice conversion

The chalice is to large if your going for scale, but it's simple and does not require greenstuff.

 

I did not take pictures of the whole process, but it should be pretty straightforward :drool:

 

Parts you need:

2 standard marine shoulderpads.

Sword arm bit, or equivalent.

Meltabomb

1mm thick paperclip (optional)

 

 

- Glue the shoulderpads together, this will be the main cup

- Cut off the top of a meltabomb, this will be the botton part

 

(Optional pinning) Drill holes through the middle of both top and botton bit and drill a hole through his hand, put some glue in the holes and run the whole pin through all 3 parts.

So surprisingly simple. Perhaps it would scale better on a Terminator?

Did this a couple of years ago in much the same way, but I do think it would look better if you cut off the vertical trim on the shoulderpad.

 

Also you can then fill it with PVA glue mixed with red ink and then give that a couple of coats of gloss varnish, just to add that little bit extra to it.

Now this is a great idea! I'll give this a shot when I pick up my next box of marines, I barely have any shoulder pads to spare at the moment. Have you given any thought to using the Apothecary arm with narthecium from the command squad box?

I lobbed the grail off of a spare Corbulo and used the Narthecium from a command squad box, looked pretty good in the end i'll see if i can find a picture of it.
