jeremy1391
is it true that legionary squads can't have special weapons? like, just 10-20 bolter toting marines? or do they have upgrades? what is fury of the legion? what are the legion specific characteristics? and are you saying ATSKNF is different or replaced by something else? Fury of the legion lets each marine rapid fire 4 times at 12" or twice at 24" with penalties in the next round because they have to reload. Only if there are 5+ strong marines squad and only if remain stationary in this turn. mysteriousmaskedmystery
that's fine, if you're holding an objective and you know you are going to get charged, double fire, that's way better than over watch, which you only get after they shoot at you and as snap fire, or if you are about to charge, and especially if you plan on being stuck for a round or two, double tap the pistols and charge? jeremy1391
Staying stationary is not always bad. Imagine there is a horde of 30 orks coming your way, they are 8 inches away at the start of your turn , sit there behind your lovely defense line and pop 40 bolt rounds into them, bye bye orks!!! Captain Semper
True... but could you mix Orks with Legion rules? True the Heresy books to come will not be exclusively SMs but I expect them to be Imperial focussed (Mechanicum, Custodes, IG) rather than aliens... So it all boils down to comaptibility of 40k and 30k... jeremy1391
No one says the rules cant be used to play great crusade!!! and also 40 shots into a ten man space marine squad is going to do something! Lord Ragnarok
Has anyone else noticed that the Cataprachtii are available with Power Axes, but the actual models are chainaxes? However, in the HH book there is no option to take Chainaxes for Terminators, not even for World Eaters, so they must be treated as Power Axes, yet the models on the tabletop have Chainaxes I can see that causing some confusion Do they have chain axes for their rules? If not, they get what they get and no one should throw a fit. skeletoro
Hmm! The chain axes have the "wires" characteristic of a power weapon in addition to teeth.
