What Primarch Models will be released for "Betrayal"?

I feel like they may do Daemon Primarchs for at least a couple of the Traitor Primarchs during the Siege of Terra because i could have sworn Mortarion(May have been a Daemon Prince) and his legion was under Nurgle's control, could be wrong sometimes my fluff is alittle off. Also i feel like another reason they could make them more money and it may make us fans some what happy; If i was part of a company and i heard that people would pay good money for something i would make it and sell it in a heart beat but then again thats me and my idea.

Negative, Mortarion was not a Daemon Prince by the time of the siege. He was ascended to Daemon status after he gained control of the plague planet in the Eye. However, he and his legion were fully corrupted by Nurgle by the point of the Battle for Terra, and Mortarion became what we know of him in the artwork here:

This is pretty much how he's envisioned as a Daemon Prince anyhow, so how much more he changed after becoming a DP we don't know. I've seen several commissions done based on this art, and I fully hope there is both a Purist Primarch Mortarion, as well as a corrupted version. I would buy both, no questions asked.

@Circus, Thanks for the correction my fluf can be a little off at times. I completely agree though if Forge World made offical models for Daemon Primarchs i would get them in a heart beat; i could care less about rules for them to i would just want them for collecting purposes haha

Hey I'm the same way. I just used to be way into the fluff surrounding Mortarion is all.

I'd like to have rules for mine!

For those of you thinking Fulgrim will be in Betrayal, note that he wasn't there during the Istvaan/Istvann III campaign...

And yet in one of the pages shown in the video with Alan Bligh it says 'the primarchs Horus, Angron, Mortarion and Fulgrim may only be selected by the Traitor side' or words to that effect. And only Angron was actually on Istvaan III, it's probably a way of getting those three legions done for Istvaan V in advance.

From what I understand from the thread, does this mean 6-9 years til all the primarchs are released?

Still worth the wait, already been this long since seeing the original Dorn, Russ (possibly Guiliman too) and the daemon primarch models from Epic in the Citadel catalogues many many years ago.

I think, for balance to the game, the models will be pre-daemonhood (will be loyalist primarchs as well and only big difference I can think would be a headless Ferrus...) and look like to be based on the Triumph at Ullanor image for the cover of The Primarchs compliation.

As we know Angron is done and Fulgrim is next in line if Simon Egan can get his concept past the censor <_<

Not Primarchs but Abaddon is close and Loken is also inbound likely before Fulgrim but as we know schedules move...

Source please? On the "fulgrim is next" part.

Err, Simon Egan :P

Cool thanks. He say this at GD? Just trying to get the info straight is all.

Ok from what I'm hearing, it sounds like they want to get out all the primarchs for which there will be rules in the corresponding book release. This means 4 primarchs per books folks! From what people are saying from gamesday, Fulgrim is going to be next, then most likely Horus. Simon Egan was talking about wanting to do Mortarion, which means that's something that's on his mind in the near future (speculation but hey, it's logical).

Phil at GD stated that the Emperor would not be done, stating that 'some things should be left alone'.

I'm really pleased to hear this. I was discussing this with a mate the other day, about how far they would take the series. He seemed to think they would follow it right up to the final dual between Horus and the Big E, complete with an Emperor mini. I think their final dual is just too iconic to put on the table top. As a kid I had a Battle of the Little Bighorn board game, the idea being for Custer and his 7th Cav to escape the board with as many pieces as possible. However, the game was weighted so that the indians (almost) always won. But every now and again the dice gods would smile upon Custer and re-write history. I always found this slightly disappointing and no doubt a table top battle between Horus and the Emperor would generate the same disappointment. Imagine if Horus slew the Emperor without suffering a single wound! it just wouldn't be cricket.

having said that I imagine there's plenty of chaos players out there would love to have Horus emerge victorious =p

I'm going to buy all 18 Primarchs' miniatures (19 if we count Omegon) and I'm going to have a pedestal for each one of them. 20 pedestals. 2 of them empty.

And if they release the Emperor he'll be on a bigger pedestal in the middle (others in circle around him). And near the Emperor a smaller one for Malcador.

Looks so epic in my mind. :)

Cool idea, brother. Would you paint them traditionally or would you try to make them look like bronze statues? I quite like the idea of them all painted to look like bronze, even if it sounds like a cheat. ;)

Yes at Games Day yesterday, he said that he has some cool ideas on how he wants to do Fulgrim but he's not sure if the powers that be will let him go as far as he'd like or words to that effect...
