Demons for my Deathguard

Hey everyone, I recently got my hands on the new plastic Plaguebearers and painted one up to match my current demon scheme. Four years have passed since I started my demons so my painting skills have improved a bit. I still consider this guy gaming quality. I would have pushed him a lot more for a display piece. Although it does serve as a study for a Golden Demon idea I have in mind.

Here's a picture of some of my older demons to compare.

And the Deathguard, also mostly from 4ish years ago, that they go with.

That's the best plaguebearer I've ever seen. Fantastic use of washes for the puss and ...gross fluids. ew.

How did you paint the skin? (i'm guessing the new pallid wytch flesh was involved?) I'm planning a unit of these grody dudes for my own CSM warband and I'd love to be able to make them look that unhealthy.

Great scheme on the Plaguebearer. I like it!

That's an interesting question :geek:

The only thing I can think of, is to try and melt it off with acetone or something like that. Depending on the glue you used for the grass and sand it might melt that as well or ...not. :) In any case you'd have to repaint the bases and be careful not to kill your minis paintjob or melt the base as well.

Geez, whats up with all the beautiful Nurgly goodness people are posting up lately, someone with your talent needs a little "change". Seriously, good stuff here, the inks/washes you're using over the pale flesh tones are subtle and noticable at the same time. Can't wait for the how to.
