War Angel
Simple question, but what's the answer? I'm worried if I use a brush with water I'll run the paint. Suggestions? Olis
I use a dry brush (not a drybrush, mind you). One of the big tank brushes from about ten years ago does a reasonable job. If you have any flat surfaces that needs more attention than that a barely damp cloth will work fine. I doubt you'll need water to the point where you'd need to worry about wiping paint off. Grotsmasha
Usually I quickly swipe the mini under running water, then use a damp tank brush to get any dust that remains. I've never had an issue with this method affecting the paintjob. Venerable Jazzman
Once the paints dry it should be totally waterproof, so it shouldn't be an issue. (assuming you're using acrylics) If you need to dust them then use a big make-up/blusher brush, I nicked one from my daughter. Or one of those lens cleaners with the puffy air-thing that photographers use. although they tend to have firmer bristles. http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/ba/bare-escentuals-bareminerals-tapered-blush-brush.jpghttp://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/guitar75/guitar750709/guitar75070900005/1613412-a-pair-of-35mm-film-camera-lenses-and-a-blow-brush-for-cleaning.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/261690-cleaning-the-dust-off/#findComment-3185039 Share on other sites

WingsOfTheFalcon
You could use compressed air canisters, same as PC shops use for cleaning motherboards that are dusty. No chemicals, just high velocity air. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/261690-cleaning-the-dust-off/#findComment-3185749 Share on other sites

Brother Nihm
A damp (not wet/soaked) brush works well, just be gentle. Are the minis varnished? If they are, go full tilt with a 'PC duster' (compressed air can) as mentioned above.
