Cheers guys, next up I've got the rest of my Emperors Children to finish up. That's 2 Cataphractii Terminators and 4 tactical marines. After that I'm thinking of getting a few more marines (MK III's) and I'm thinking of getting a relic Contemptor. Depends on the pay packet though haha.

spu00sed @ I used a pen and drew it on. My freehand with a brush isnt the best so i use a thin fine liner instead. Also if I muck it up I can paint over without too much bother.

I have a question though. I attempted some weathering tonight and I'm wandering. Should I roll it out across the army? I tried the sponging technique. I'm fairly pleased with how it came out (well, compared to previous attempts) but I was wandering what you guys thought.

I figured if these guys were engaged in the most brutal combat the galaxy had ever known (at that point), they wouldn't look super awesome. And I'm sure the bombardment and the life eater virus would have scummed up their armour at least a little.

haha true enough. I think the Traitor side of my force might be free of weathering to give the impression of reinforcements from orbit whilst the Loyalists would look fairly knackered.

What colours did you sponge weather with? I can't tell if it's metallics or just greys! It looks very nice and pretty subtle :)

How are you doing the green? It looks really good, I hope it's still not pot luck that you meantioned earlier :) The weathering looks great too.

Haha cheers mate. Nah I've got the recipe down now. It might make some pro painters blanch but I dip my brush in Astronomicon Grey and then dip it in the Caliban green so that there is equal amounts of paint on it. Then I mix it on my table. Not the most technical approach I admit, but it does the job.
