Gotta say that your World Eaters are let down a bit by the weathering though, i don't want to be rude, but it just looks like a bit much. Obscures the nice painting underneath.

Thanks bud, nah not rude at all. They were test marines, I'm not a fan of the commander personally, for me not only is the commander too busy, he's also way too bright to fit in with the rest of the marines. I'm going to be sticking with the EC and SoH for this force I think.

I've started my second batch of Sons of Horus to make up a Tactical Squad. This is what I've achieved in an hour.

Right then, the final 5 are done and I now have a legal HH army (at a pinch it can be a CSM army too). I suppose all I can do now is wait til Christmas before these get updated again. Contemptor madness ahoy!

Cheers mate, I know the iPhone isn't quite as professional as I'd like lol. I know I said I was done with this army for now, but I had a Sanguinary guard kit lying around and I thought, well as its all artificer armour I could make another Centurion or assault sergeant or something EC. So here he is.

Thanks guys, I ran out of Forge World guys so I used a couple of spare Sanguinary Guard guys and decided a few would be good as artificer armoured squad leaders. However just been paid so more FW goodness. : )

Well I thought about it, and I decided that I needed a command squad with jump packs. And as they're equipped with artificer armour the Sang Guard kit was my prime target. It's just a start, still need a banner bearer, but I thought it would make them stand out. Also ordered the Contemptor talon and some autocannon marine goodness.

Thanks mate, when I put the basecoat on I thought, wow that would make a cool Minotaurs captain. Then I quickly put that idea to bed, can't start another army.

 

So it's been a while since I last posted anything but my Contemptor Talon arrived today so I painted up the first one.

Haha cheers mate, I loved painting these guys. So much more fun than the standard dreads. I could happily paint one a day haha. Unfortunately now I have to wait till Xmas day to get my relic Contemptor because my better half put the money in for it. Guess I could paint those Chaos Chosen......: )

Those autocannons are a thing of beauty. How would one work those into a 40k-era Loyalist force...? :D

They're nice, but a pain in the backside to fit together. I figured if I really wanted to use them in a 40k game I'd use Chaos without any marks, but thats not loyalist. Shame really, you'd think that loyalist forces, particularly 1st founding chapters would still have access to them.

Finished my Heavy Support Squad. Assembling them got easier as it went on. Next year I think I'll have 5 more for the full ten man dakka dakka.

Totaly agree with the fact that at least 1st founding chapters or others have access to autocannons, though I have heard that in the new codex Space Marines there will be such a thing for the loyalist faction so I hope to see it soon. But besides what I just said, awesome looking Emperor's Children as always, maby you could use some white for them? It would definitly add some diversity to the plain purple and gold. Just a fleeting thought but one that I have seen many hobbiests use and have good results with. Just keep churning more Contemptors out ;)
