Hiya, been a while since I last updated this topic. Been busy with work and gigging so not had time to paint recently. Until last night, when I decided to try out a Sons of Horus colour scheme (I say try out because I know he's not a in Heresy era armour). I've  changed the grey I use because my Astronomican Grey is starting to run out. So I picked up some Ulthuan Grey and tried it out with Caliban Green. Quite pleased with the result. Now I want them to release Garviel Loken and Abaddon soon. Real soon.

Cheers guys, I did the stubble by mixing chaos black and ulthuan grey and dry brushing it on to the head.

Cheers mate , much appreciated. Did a bit more work on my new Sons of Horus squad tonight. Need a few more washes and some dry brushing around the base and feet but almost done.

Looks like it's your lucky day Duncs, Forgeworld just realesed Abbadaon and Loken as a two piece set with a large scenic base to depict thier duel on Istvaan III.

Cheers gonna have a painting day tomorrow (time off woo!). I'll get the rest of the squad finished up and I'm working on a temporary commander for the SoH until I get my hands on that awesome Loken model. Though I think I'll give him a mk4 helmet.

Yeah I think that Loken model just swayed me over to the side of the Sons of Horus myself it's so extremely badass. Also thought of giving him a helmet but in the artworks he's wearing a mk 4 crested helmet with the mk 5 rebreather unit and that's gonna be a bitch to hack up and combine not that I can't pull it off. lol
