skeletoro
I am thinking of getting a few mk iii models for wolf guard. Though I haven't 100% settled on a loadout, I'm tossing up between: power sword + axe bolt pistol + sword or axe combi-weapon + sword or axe However, the forge world ones have arms set up for holding a bolter (in two hands). I know that I could just use different arms, but the mk iii arms have their own aesthetic that I'd like to conserve. How might I go about "opening up" the arms so that they can hold two weapons? Has anybody tried this, and had good-looking and durable results? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/261901-mk-iii-arms/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
I've done it, I'll edit in a pic. You will need to pin every cut/adjustment you make. Time consuming? Yep. Worth it? Totally. Also, the hands were quite tedious, as you cant just cut them off if you wish to preserve the mkIII athestic. You'll need to very carefully carve the hands out of the armour, then shave the back of the ccw hands your putting in. NoxinWolves
Since the arms are resin you don't really need to do much cutting to straighten them out. Just soak them for a few minutes in hot water and you can literally just bend them out in your hands. As soon as they cool they set in the new position.
