The Axe is Best.

Here are a few things about me.I am a bit of a lurker and have been very interested in the models That Dodhouse, Migsula, and Apologist and a few others have made. I have been out of the game since 3rd edition. I played second mostly.I only played one game in third edition and quit playing and modeling soon after that. I sold off most of my second edition wolves army at the time. I kept most of the third edition stuff because I had recently bought it and had hoped to have more time to dedicate to it. Real life took over and that was that.

Many years later I was trying to find a way to show my son he could do more with his free time than play video games, when I remembered 40k. So to the basement I went looking for my old boxes. Much to my surprise they were in great condition.I showed him my first army and he became enthralled immediately. For me this has turned into a trip down memory lane. So I started looking up sites and came across the B&C..What a place! I am a bit of a lurker and have been very interested in the models that Dodhouse, Migsula, and Apologist and a few others have made. So being over whelmed by all the great looking figs here I decided that no ordinary army would do. So I went to the store I used to game at and promptly bought myself a space wolves codex and a few boxes of Terminators and began planning. This is my fist attempt at starting a true scale army and a return to the wolves for me. My son has chosen to convert my old army to the powers of evil.

This is all new to me so posting online like this is a little confusing. I am doing this in an attempt to keep up with modeling this army and to get some input from my fellow gamers.

Size comparison and a little more work on the Wolf Guard.

Just trying to get a better idea about how the others will look with weapons equipped.

Much closer to what I have been envisioning now.

Here is an idea in the rough. It has changed a lot since this picture was taken.

Thanks for the replies guys.

@ Grotsmasha- I hope this project ends up being worthy of following thanks.

@ Cirrius - I think for the most part the entire army will each be a model unto itself. I don't personally think that the rank and file look of other marine armies will work as well with my wolves.

@ Space Wolf - thanks.

@Circus Nurgling - KY jelly. It works better than Vaseline and has the added benefit of being water soluble. That and a lot of patients. I only sand a little and tend to use emery boards. Thanks for the compliment.
