hermanista
Greetings Brothers, I posted this initially in the WiP section, however, I thought my brethran would appeciate it here as well. Unfortunately I went and dislocated my shoulder last weekend at larp, so progress hasn't been as relentless as I'd like, but some progress is good at least. So, a quick copy and paste... During the Battle of the Sularian Gate the Dark Angels 5th Company deployed alongside the massed Imperial Guard regiments of the Vostroyan Firstborn, Mordian Ironguard and Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii Legions in an effort to halt Waagh! Groblonik. Several minor worlds had already fallen and dozens more teetered on the brink of destruction unless the green tide could be stopped. On the fourth day of the Battle of the Sularian Gate, Ezekiel, Grand Master of Librarians was gravely wounded by a stray Ork bullet, embedding itself in his left eye socket. Recovering the fallen Librarian, he was taken to a makeshift triage station where the remains of his eye were removed. He only had the patience to be fitted for a simple bionic, returning to the fray. Rallying the 5th Company, Ezekiel led a furious counter-attack that broke Waaagh! Groblonik forever. Ezekiel faced the Ork Warlord in furious hand-to-hand combat, slaying him with his powerful psychic assault. Hefting his mighty force weapon, Ezekiel hacked off Groblonik’s head and threw it into the Ork mob. The Waagh! broke at the sight of their fallen warlord and were slaughtered by the Imperial forces. So, having ditched and sold off a huge potion of my miniature collection, I was left with no usable 40k army and a Dark Vengeance box on the desk infront of me. A quick arranged trade got ride of the spikey traitors and a double about of Dark Angels for me to build and paint. This therefore, is the project log to go with them. Now, everyone and their dog has seen the standard minis as they come, and the Dark Angels are very, very nice models, so there's no point in showing the bare plastics for them. However, having two identical sets of certain models? Well, that's just not on... So I've done a couple of quick conversions and thought I'd show them off to get me started, so this is them thanks to the magic of the internetz... We'll start with the 'boring' bits and work up from there. This evening I'm working away at drilling out all the gun barrels, it's tedius but it looks better when its done. I'll post up an army list and group shot later, once I can't drill no more :P Chris Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262042-dark-angels/ Share on other sites
