Brom MKIV
Ya im curious how FW will respond as well. After a closer look at redmaws rules though I think the only thing really up for contention is his saga of the hunter. The more I consider it the more im thinking it was intended be limited to fenrisian wolves only which would be fluffy but a pretty big bummer too. The FNP seems obvious since there is no reference to 4+ anywhere in redmaws rules and the rulebook clearly states FNP is 5+ unless a number is shown in parenth. Lastly I am confident you (BtW) are corrent on rolling for redmaw regardless of his presence on the board. dswanick
Hey guys, just sent Forge World an email with the following questions - My group and I have several questions regarding the Bran Redmaw IC, Imperial Armour 11, pg.127 1. Bran has Saga of the Hunter which would give him and Outflank and Stealth. The text for the special rule says "Saga of the Hunter gives him the Stealth special rule (+1 cover save). He (and any Fenrisian Wolves he is leading) may enter the table from Reserve using the Outflank special rules.". My question is - If Bran is joined to a pack (other than a Fenrisian Wolf Pack), does he have the Stealth and Outflank abilities? Or does he only get them if joined to Fen.Wolves? 2. Curse of The Wolfen states that the owning player start rolling for the change beginning turn 2. No mention is made if it is rolled if the model is off-board in Reserves. Do you roll for the Curse even if Bran is not on the table? 3. The Redmaw has no Save, but does have Feel No Pain. Is this Feel No Pain (4+) or Feel No Pain (5+)? I'll put up the answers if/when I get them. Any info on this brother?? ~BtW No response beyond - "Due to the extremely high volume of e-mails we are currently receiving" blah, blah, blah. Still waiting for a non-automated response. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262058-bran-redmaw/page/2/#findComment-3197712 Share on other sites

I had thought that it was limited to Fen Wolves only at first until I realized what context the IA volume was written in. In 5th edition, iirc, you could only use SoH on Infantry unit types which Fen Wolves are not, hence the not so clear notation that it also applied to Fen Wolves that may accompany Bran. The FNP is the same, written under 5th ed rules in which FNP was at a base of 4+.... Differences in the rules from each edition that are minor at first glance but can have a major impact. @dswanick Thanks for the update, brother! ~BtW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262058-bran-redmaw/page/2/#findComment-3197836 Share on other sites
