First done models.

When I did my presentation someone asked me to post some pictures of my minis. I have now taken some pictures of my almost finished Grey Hunters and a Rhino.

First of all the bases is obviously not done. I'm waiting for the turf stuff to be delivered. Then I need to varnish them with anti-shine.

Second: my camera aint that hot so I'm having problems getting the minis in focus.

These are the first minis I have painted in over 15 years so I am a bit rusty. Now feel free to tear me a new one with your criticism =)

booo!!! they're too beautifully done!

honestly, focus and lightling isn't all that, but it seems like they're well prepared and nicely painted. Flesh to me seems a bit pale, and I'd have done the searchlight in a different color; (more yellow) but other than that, it seems legit.

What kind of bases are you going to be giving them?

I'm going for a desert theme with sand, some small rocks and dead grass.

Thanks for watching and your opinions guys =)

Sand Wolves?

Never heard or seen that done before, but definitely interesting.

Reminds me of a fluff idea I had for a company of Space Wolves fighting in a 3rd Crusade style occupation of a desert Imperial holy world, like in Kingdom of Heaven.

But definitely out of their comfort zone, though.

Have these been dipped? If so they have come out rather well

Was thinking the same. Never been a fan of dipping personally but do understand its merits.

My only wonder is how are you going to bring the Rhino to the same standard? It looks to be sulking in the background saying quietly "what about me"

They have indeed been dipped and I have not forgotten about the rhino. This is the first time I have used dipping and I am rather satisfied with the result. It wont win any painting prices but I was going for minis that look good on a battlefield. And it saved me alot of time. It took me a hour for each model this way.

I think they look great! I actually like dipping look. What did you use for the dip?

Thank you very mutch. Is it ok to say what product I used? I dont wanna break any forum rule by accident.

How are you going to shade the Rhino, whill that be dipped too?

Turned out quite good for being dipped but they could use a matte coat as right now they look like they're covered in soy sauce. :(

I will go over the rhino with the soy sauce aswell and then spray everything with a anti shine varnish (as stated in the original post).

Thanks for the feedback =)

Why would that be against board rules

your free to say what you use in paints and 3th party bits, why wouldn't it, where not owned by GW
