A very weird idea I just had to share about Sevatar

Ah. No, I know why. Barnes an Noble isn't putting it out on the shelves until October 18 IIRC from what I heard. I know because I saw it in passing going by a Books-A-Million and then stopped at Barnes and Nobles that I was going to hit later on the road and me and the manager went on a merry chase looking for it and that's what she told she found out. I had to go back to the Books-A-Million.

I was wondering why they didn't have it myself, thanks :)

Dude, I live in friggin' Alaska, and we got it. Where the hell is your local Barnes and Noble, the bottom of the Mariana Trench?

Blast you Heathens, now the internet knows I live in the Mariana Trench. I feel betrayed :)

Color me mildly surprised that our resident BL scribe has not either lambasted us for this off the wall theory or decrying us for possible future spoilers. Either way I expected some form of chastisement or "you people are loonier than I gave you credit for" communication by now.

Note: I do know ADB is probably somewhere from insanely busy to ungodly busy with his writing and BL commitments in addition to the baby and wifey to have read this thread yet. But here's hoping, eh?

Or maybe he has no choice but to abstain? To deny the seeds he planted would be dishonest... but to champion them would be to give away what the future has in store...

I prefer to believe he's sulking because I guessed the plot of Betrayer....or frantically re-writing the second half of it to invalidate my stroke of genius.

Moi, possesed of a deluded belief that the universe has me at its center? Surely you jest.

Also:

Thirst, you may want to check other Barnes and Nobles than the one that told you Shadows wouldn't be on shelves until the 18, because I live in Mississippi and I picked up my copy at B & N on 10-8. Odd, that.

'sigh' I now have a theme song. Too bad it's based off of Spongebob Squarepants :(

Wade - Mine didn't say it wasn't available until date X, I just walked in the other day and it wasn't on the shelves so I don't have it yet ;)

10-Roger.

As for your theme song, it could be worse. My little brother cooked up one for me (which I will NOT be sharing with the forum, thank you very much) using YMCA by the Village People, complete with...*shudders*..an interpretive dance routine.

Ahem, what is that? My inner mod is telling me... why... I seem to have dragged us quite off topic. I am ashamed of myself. Alright then, enough fooling around, let's go back to discussing the possible futures of the much respected Sevatar :(

In that case:

Everyone seems to be forgetting that while Sev and his merry band of brothers are stuck on the Dark Angels flagship, Konrad Curze is lurking somewhere on the lower decks of said flagship. Chances of the DA hauling the Night Lords AND their Primarch to Caliban, Terra, or wherever without incident? Magic Eight Ball says PRETTY BLOODY LOW, especially since we know already know Night Haunter is going to escape so he can be killed by M'Shen after the Heresy.

Or maybe it's all a big Night Haunter-Style Alpharius Jutsu and Curze is actually Acerbus in disguise?

But I thought it was unconfirmed that Curze was on the Lion's ship and that was just Sevatar's personal opinion on where he was?

We know for sure that Konrad was fighting the Lion, and then he did a runner. Since they're on a ship IN SPAAACE and every Night Lords vesse in systeml has either already jumped to the Warp or been blown to bits. Unless the Lion and his boys managed to track down and capture Curze during scene transitions, there doesn't seem to be anywhere he can be besides lurking somewhere on board. It's not as crazy as it seems, Imperial ships are ludicrously gigantic and Curze is very, very, very VEEEERRRYYYYY good at lurking.

The real mystery is why the Lion didn't order everyone into the Thunderhawks and Drop Pods and then blast said ship into its component atoms, IMO a flagship is a small price to pay for killing a Primarch.

Well to be fair, the ships weren't gone when Sevatar went unconscious. He just knew that most of them would be and he knew that the Nightfall was dead because it was dead when he left and there was a very good chance the Excoriator might be too since Curze practically shoved it down the barrels of their guns, but he had no way of knowing. Just like he didn't even know how the fight ended because he passed out in the middle of it.

Maybe the Invincible Reason is where the Lion is keeping the little doo-dad that lets him warp all over the place regardless of how much the Chaos Gods want to keep him contained.

That makes a great deal of sense....oh. Oh boy.

Now we have a probably Chaos tainted artifact thingamabob (considering that Typhus was granted a Mark of Nurgle when his actions caused the Lion to yank said thingamabob out of the hole the Mechanicum had stuffed it in, I doubt it runs on sunshine and kittens), the Prince of Crows, and KONRAD BLEEDING CURZE on the same Dark Angels spaceship.

In no possible universe does this end well.

Probably because the Lion is too honourable for his own good, and feels the need to personally kill Curze. They are still brothers, after all. It wouldn't be fitting to kill him with an indiscriminate bombardment.

I think the argument for sevatar being of the 8 makes a lot of sense.

As for his unstable and obviously psychotic attributes, many of these first grand masters seem to have a few screws loose.

Loken going all "I AM CERBERUS!!!" and all is one example of this

2 thoughts...sevatar could be one of the 8 as a complete sociopath because being first captain you still have to be I'd assume high functioning but I think that particular issue has gone about as far as it can with my most sincere compliments to phoebus. And as much as I would have loved to hear from ADB on it there was no way that was going to happen...though I like to think silence is compliance lol.

To the second part as to why the lion wouldn't atomize the ship. IMO with the primarchs, especially sly boots Konrad, one really needs to see a body to be sure.
