Kharn and Hatred

I'm a little confused about one particular aspect of Warlord Khârn: what happens when he attacks in melee and rolls a 1 to hit. In the old days (the day before yesterday), there was just the Betrayer rule and that was that, down went a buddy. Now they've made a point to give Khârn a warlord trait that grants Hatred.

So does Khârn actually have a re-rollable 2+ to hit in melee? It seems unlikely (especially since, well, Khârn never misses, really...), but then it seems silly to give him a warlord trait that he himself can't make use of. It's nice that he passes it to his unit, at the very least.

Thoughts?

In this case it's similar to a twin-linked plasma weapon. If you roll a 1 you get to re-roll. You don't apply the negative effect unless you roll a 1 on the re-roll.

Yes, he does re-roll those 1s. But only in the first round.

he actually re-rolls all misses doesnt he? yes its basically the same thing, but it passes to his unit IIRC

Came up in a game today. Hatred is just for the first round of combat.

Nearly lost a Helbrute in the second round.
