Achaim
I'm a little confused about one particular aspect of Warlord Khârn: what happens when he attacks in melee and rolls a 1 to hit. In the old days (the day before yesterday), there was just the Betrayer rule and that was that, down went a buddy. Now they've made a point to give Khârn a warlord trait that grants Hatred. So does Khârn actually have a re-rollable 2+ to hit in melee? It seems unlikely (especially since, well, Khârn never misses, really...), but then it seems silly to give him a warlord trait that he himself can't make use of. It's nice that he passes it to his unit, at the very least. Thoughts? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262669-kharn-and-hatred/ Share on other sites
Interrogator-Chaplain Ezra
Yes, he does re-roll those 1s. But only in the first round. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262669-kharn-and-hatred/#findComment-3199817 Share on other sites
Captain Idaho
Yep; don't mess about with Khârn in assaults! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262669-kharn-and-hatred/#findComment-3199840 Share on other sites
greatcrusade08
Yes, he does re-roll those 1s. DarkGuard
In this case it's similar to a twin-linked plasma weapon. If you roll a 1 you get to re-roll. You don't apply the negative effect unless you roll a 1 on the re-roll. Hatred is just for the first round of combat. Nearly lost a Helbrute in the second round. minigun762
Quick confirmation. Hatred is independent of charging now correct? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262669-kharn-and-hatred/#findComment-3202464 Share on other sites

greatcrusade08
Quick confirmation. Hatred is independent of charging now correct? so does that mean even if Khârn is charged by the enemy he gets re-rolls in the first round? Captain Idaho
Yep. Khârn is especially nasty in this edition because of his excessive hatred. 2+ re-rolls is just sooo many hits! I can't imagine many units wanting to charge Khârn to reduce his attacks though.
