Nurgle Termies and Counts-as Abaddon

Hey y'all, long time no post.

 

I love the new Chaos codex and I love thinking about all the possible army builds whenever a new one of these things comes out. Seems to me Nurgle Terminators would be pretty sweet, although Tzeentch would probably be better for the 4++. I guess the obliterators would be better for nurgle, since guaranteed no-instant death against S8 or 9 is better than 50% chance. Anyway, before the pics, what are people's thoughts on Nurgle vs. Tzeentch marks for terminators? Thanks.

What does everyone think? I used parts from Space Marine Terminators, Chaos Terminator Lord, Tartaros Termie legs, ork iron gob, WHFB Chaos Warriors, new Warp Talons, probably some other bits I can't remember, and green stuff (obviously). I'm partial to the iron gob guy and the one wtih Tartaros legs.

 

I'm aware that I can't take a heavy flamer is the setup shown here. I've got a fifth termie painted up in Khorne colors lying around with power axe and combi-melta lying around. I have yet to Nurglify him.

Looking very tidy, a nice and effective way to Nurgle up your teminators.

 

A couple of things are bugging me, firstly on the first guy (big horn shoulder pad) there is a nub of plastic on the front of his shoulder pad where it used to join the sprue which you should probably shave off. The guy with the horned helmet also has some quite visible flash on the horns, again a two second job!

 

The kitbashes are solid, my personal favourite is the first one, though your Abaddon is very nice too. Can I ask why you've decided not to Nurgle him up too?

 

Keep it up though, looking forward to seeing how your army progresses.
